Chelsea youngster, Charly Musonda has been going from strength to strength in his debut season in first team football, with his current loan home Real Betis massively benefiting from his great form.
The talented attacker put in another convincing display, this team against Granda, and has showcased why he has been so hyped by plenty of analysts and journalists as well, mself included. The latest performance has helped Betis maintain the impressive unbeaten run since Musonda signed for them:
By the end of the match, one can notice that how our Belgian has made himself an instant important piece of the Betis team, both on and off the pitch. The club’s technical secretary Alexis Trujillo has confirmed that the club are seeking to keep Charly Jr. for the next season, provided they stay in La Liga:
“I want us to stay in La Liga and hopefully we can work [with Chelsea] to keep him with us ahead of next season,” Trujillo said to Radio Marca.
“We are not surprised [about his instant adaptation] and we hope he will improve even more. We had been following him for a while with the Belgian national team and we knew about his potential. He is going to give much joy to the Betis fans, he has incredible speed and carries the ball with great quality. I hope Betis can enjoy many evenings of glory with him.”
Staying in Spain would probably be the best for Musonda right now, seeing that he is almost definitely going to play virtually week in-week out for Betis if he stays and the league is one of the best, if not the best, in the world technically so it is also a good environment for him to further hone his skills and prepare for a hopefully glittering Chelsea career.
