Antonio Conte is seriously considering leaving Chelsea at the end of the season, according to the Times.
As per the Times, Conte could have walked out of Chelsea in the summer after being dissatisfied with the support he received from the club’s door. Thankfully, he decided to stay put at Stamford Bridge, but that does not necessarily mean that his long-term future is at Stamford Bridge.
The Times claim that Conte has repeatedly turned down the opportunity to extend his contract with the Blues. The Italian did sign a new deal earlier this year, but it was not an extension, presumably just improved terms following the success we enjoyed last season.
Is is mentioned in the report that Conte has revealed his desire to return to Italy, and there would likely be no shortage of interest in securing his services among Serie A’s biggest sides.
It’s difficult to know what to believe as a fan. All we can do is hope and pray that he has a change of heart and decides to stay.
