Chelsea manager Antonio Conte appears to be keen to add some serious fire-power to his front-line this summer.
Despite Diego Costa’s tally of 19 Premier League goals this campaign only being able to be bettered by two players, Conte appears to still be in the hunt for offensive reinforcements.
According to the Daily Mail, Conte has instructed the Chelsea board to sign Everton striker Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window. The tabloid note that Costa’s future at Stamford Bridge is uncertain amid interest from the Chinese Super League.
The Daily Mail report that Conte is determined not to rest on his laurels if the Blues lift the Premier League title this campaign, and Lukaku is top of his summer wish-list. The paper believe that any potential deal to bring the Belgian back to Chelsea would eclipse the £50million that we forked out to sign Fernando Torres in the winter of 2011.
