Chelsea manager Antonio Conte praised Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Tammy Abraham after their first appearances for England, the Standard reports.
Loftus-Cheek earned plenty of plaudits after his man of the match performance against Germany last Friday. However, the 21-year-old came off injured in the first half against Brazil on Tuesday with a back problem.
Meanwhile, Abraham started the match against the Germans and was a late subsitute against the Brazilians. Both games finished goalless but the duo can be proud of their performances.
When speaking to the media earlier today, the Blues manager hailed both players and confirmed the two have a future at the club, as the Standard reports.
The Standard quotes Conte saying:
“I think that we are talking about two young players, really good players and for sure Ruben and Tammy will be the future for Chelsea.”
Will Loftus-Cheek and Abraham be regular Chelsea player’s next season?
The potential and talent of Loftus-Cheek and Abraham has been on display not just over for country but for their clubs.
Loftus-Cheek has been the one spark for bottom of the table Crystal Palace. Whilst, Abraham has scored four league goals with Swansea who sit just a place above Palace.
It all depends on the attitude and performances they show for the rest of the season. However, there is certainly a place that can be won for both players at the club in the future.
