Antonio Conte has casted doubt over his future with Chelsea.
The Italians took the reins of a side who finished tenth in the Premier League, the worst league position since Roman Abramovich bought the club in 2003. In the space of just 12 months, he has transformed them into a winning machine – and Premier League champions.
However, as the Daily Mail report, there are suggestions that Conte could depart Chelsea this summer. The Daily Mail believe that Inter Milan are keen to take the former Juventus boss back to Serie A – and he may well be open to a return to his home country.
Conte’s wife and daughter are not currently living with him in London, and it appears to be a big problem for the 47-year-old.
The Daily Mail quote Conte, who reveals that his debut season in England has been tainted by the absence of his family:
“It’s not all happiness and light. The arrival was, but the journey wasn’t. With my wife Elisabetta in January we decided that Vittoria would finish school in Turin, even if she was already registered to start in London.”
As the Daily Mail report, Conte went on to state that he will not spend another year away from his family, which suggests he will be leaving Chelsea if his family do not move to London:
“However, if I am to stay, then they will come and stay with me. It will be a great opportunity for my daughter to live in a foreign country. I’ll tell you one thing for sure, I won’t have another year on my own.”
