Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is set to take full responsibility for his row with striker Diego Costa, according to The Sun.
As The Sun report, Conte sent a text to Costa informing him that he is not part of his vision for the Premier League champions going forward. The tabloid believe that his decision to do so could cost Chelsea as much as £10million in the transfer market.
According to The Sun, the message that Conte sent to the Spain international was as follows:
“Hi Diego, I hope you are well. Thanks for the season we spent together. Good luck for the next year but you are not in my plan.”
The Sun believe that Conte will apologise to the Chelsea board for his actions, informing them that he is fully responsible for the mess that has been caused. The Sun note that Costa’s transfer value is now set to plummet, and Conte knows that it is his fault.
It is also reported by The Sun that AC Milan are monitoring Costa’s situation, but they will now undoubtedly feel as though they can sign him on the cheap this summer.
