Barcelona have revealed that Suarez will miss his side’s Champions League second-leg clash with Chelsea at the Nou Camp… but it’s not the one you’re hoping for.

Following the first-leg stalemate, the Premier League champions have work to do. Our performance was encouraging, we deserved to take at least a slight advantage to Barcelona, but following Andreas Christensen’s mistake, and the woodwork denying Willian on two occasions, it finished 1-1.

In wake of appalling performances against both Manchester United and Manchester City, you can be forgiven for not getting your hopes up for this one. Barcelona are steaming towards the La Liga title, while we may not even be playing in the Champions League next season unless we are able to turn our nose-diving form around.

Winning the Champions League may soon be our only possible avenue back into the competition, and we have been handed an, albeit minor, boost ahead of the second-leg.

As the Mirror report, Suarez has been ruled out of the fixture with a muscle strain. Unfortunately for Antonio Conte, it’s Denis, not Luis. We got our hopes up there!
