Bertrand Traore has revealed that he hopes to be part of Antonio Conte’s first-team squad next season, report the London Evening Standard.
Traore was kept around by Jose Mourinho for the 2015/16 campaign, finding the back of the net four times, with two of those coming in the Premier League.
However, soon after Conte’s arrival at Stamford Bridge, he joined Ajax on a season-long loan, where he has scored 13 goals in 35 appearances.
His future is still very much up in the air, but Traore has made it clear where he wants to be next season. The Burkina Faso international was asked whether he is looking to return to Chelsea next season, to which the London Evening Standard quote him replying, “That’s my hope.”
Traore has proven that he is good enough to play a role in our squad, and with the increase in fixtures next term, having qualified for the Champions League, there is no reason why he shouldn’t stick around.
