Chelsea are concerned that they won’t be able to sell want-away striker Diego Costa as he has put on too much weight over the summer, according to The Sun.
As The Sun report, Costa’s career as a Chelsea player appears to have come to an end after Antonio Conte informed him that he would no longer be welcome at the club’s Cobham training ground.
The Sun claim that Costa is keen to return to former employers Atletico Madrid, where he made so many memories during his previous stint and established himself as one of the best strikers in the would. The tabloid note that he is growing increasingly frustrated that his return to Atletico has not yet materialised.
However, as per The Sun, Chelsea believe that it may well be Costa’s fault. It is reported that Blues chiefs are concerned that the 28-year-old has piled on the pounds over the summer and will now be more difficult to sell. Oh dear.
