Chelsea have confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid to sign Spain international Alvaro Morata.
The club confirmed on their official website that the move is now subject to the agreement of personal terms and Morata passing a medical, but there are no suggestions that there will be able problems with either of those.
Morata found the back of the net 31 times across two stints as a Real Madrid player, as well as bagging 27 goals during his time with Juventus.
He knows how to handle the pressures of playing for a big club, and that could prove invaluable as Chelsea look to challenge on all fronts next term.
In addition to that, Morata has been capped 20 times for the Spanish national team, for who he has scored nine times.
At 24-years-old, his best years are very much ahead of him. On paper, this looks as though it could prove to be an excellent acquisition.
