Carabao Cup

Chelsea have been drawn at home to AFC Bournemouth at home in the Carabao Cup quarter-finals.

The Blues defeated Everton by two goals to one on Wednesday night to ensure their name would be in the draw, and they have been rewarded with a favourable draw.

Although no side can be underestimated, and this competition has proven time and time again that it can spring a surprise or two, we could have been handed a considerably tougher draw.

Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal are all still in the competition, the Premier League champions will undoubtedly be happy to have avoided those three and is heightens their chances of progressing even further in the competition.

The Carabao Cup is perhaps the most realistically winnable piece of silverware on offer for us this term, Antonio Conte ought to take it seriously and we will have something to celebrate at the end of the season.

I quite agree that it’s a good draw for Chelsea but we have to bear in mind that england is a different football nation anything can happen in england.
