Chelsea legend John Terry could be set to reject advances from the MLS in favour of staying in English football, according to Goal.
Terry’s time at Stamford Bridge has now come to an end after an illustrious career in blue. He now finds himself without a club, and as you would perhaps expect, there does not appear to be any shortage of interest.
As per Goal, Terry is being chased by a host of English sides. Goal note that Aston Villa, Birmingham City, Swansea City, AFC Bournemouth, Brighton and even Arsenal are all in the running to sign the 36-year-old this summer.
Goal believe that it’s Villa who are in pole position to secure the veteran’s signature, with manager Steve Bruce having spent the past few weeks attempting to convince Terry that taking a step down to the Championship would be beneficial for his career.
It’d be great to see Terry stick around in England, there is no doubting that he is still good enough.
