Chelsea are planning for life without Antonio Conte as Serie A club Napoli have been alerted by the Blues in the chase of three important figures.
According to Tuttosport via Metro, Chelsea have held talks with Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri and if the 59-year-old is to take the Stamford Bridge helm next season, two of Sarri’s current players could be on their way to join him.
The Italian news outlet reports defensive pairing Kalidou Koulibaly and Elseid Hysaj are being targeted by the West-Londoners, with centre-back Koulibably being a long-admired player by Chelsea.
If Tuttosport’s report is to be believed, Chelsea want to press on in securing an astronomic £80m deal for Koulibaly along with snapping up Hysaj’s release clause worth £48m that can be met by clubs outside of Italy.
Along with this, Sarri has an £7m clause in his contract that would allow him to leave the Serie A club as he’s propelled his team to be just one point behind Juventus in the race for the Scudetto.
With large amounts of money on the table, this is an exciting project for Chelsea to invest in as the club looks to put this turbulent season behind them.
