Chelsea starlet Andreas Christensen will be included in Antonio Conte’s squad for our pre-season tour in China, according to Goal.

Christensen has spent the past two seasons on loan with Borussia Monchengladbach. He has established himself as one of the most exciting young defenders in the world during his time with the Bundesliga outfit, and the natural next step for the Dane appears to be to join up with the Chelsea first-team.

It looks as though Conte holds the same opinion. Goal report that Christensen will be given the opportunity to showcase his talent to the Chelsea boss during pre-season, as the Premier League champions face Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.

Conte is showing willingness to give Christensen an opportunity in his squad, but Goal believe that the 21-year-old may push for a move away from Stamford Bridge if he is unable to secure regular first-team football. Only time will tell what the future holds for him.

  1. Finally big man Andreas Christensen looks like he is set for a breakthrough season at him club. Andreas Christensen has been outstanding during the past two seasons which he has spent on loan at at Borussia Monchengladbach, but now he is going to be back playing in London at his parent club. Chelsea are in need of a fourth centre back because after Kurt “Happy” Zouma was injured, he seems to have lost a bit of pace and is no longer as imposing as he used to be. El Capitano, John Terry, has left the Blues after winning his fifth Premier League Title and every trophy he could win as well as entering the World Eleven a record number of times for a defender. Gary Cahill isn’t getting any younger and so a viable replacement has to be ready. At Monchengladbach, Andreas Christensen has been playing a big role and starting in their eleven week in and week out and even better they have been playing in a back three which is what Conte has Chelsea playing now a days so he slots in perfectly.
