Chelsea have announced part of their plans for our summer pre-season tour.

The Premier League champions, who will be surrendering their crown to Manchester City when May comes around, will be looking to have a strong pre-season in order to prepare for the 2018/19 season and the challenges that we will face.

It remains to be seen whether it will be Antonio Conte in charge come the start of the next campaign, but there is no doubt that whoever the Chelsea manager is at the time will be hoping to get his players in shape so we can fight for the title once again.

It has been announced on the official Chelsea website that our pre-season campaign will begin with a trip to Western Australia to face Perth Glory at the newly-built Optus Stadium.

The stadium can hold 60,000 fans, which will provide us with an opportunity to show off any signings that are made prior to the game, which will take place on Monday 23rd July.

Club chairman is quoted by the club’s website looking ahead to the fixture:

“We will be taking a strong squad to Perth as we prepare for the 2018/19 season. Of course, we have a long way to go in the current campaign but we can already look forward to an exciting pre-season.”
