Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte is likely to select a number of youngsters ahead of the fifth-round FA Cup clash with Hull City, The Express reports.
Conte has given plenty of chances to youth players this season, especially the likes of Ethan Ampadu and Callum Hudson-Odoi.
When speaking to reporters on Tuesday, Conte believes that Ampadu and Hudson-Odoi are the best of the bunch from the club’s academy, as The Express reports.
The Express quotes Conte saying:
“I think that in the past in the Carabao Cup I gave them the chance to play and we are talking about two of the best players in our academy in Ampadu.”
Conte insisted that both players would feature for Friday’s match at Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, The Express also reports Conte hinting that three other youngsters could also be given an opportunity for the match against Hull.
“There’s Sterling, Chalobah’s brother and Scott and they’re coming with us for the game tomorrow. I think Chelsea’s future is very brilliant for these young players.”
One of few positives taken from the Blues season so far has been the progression of youth players to the first team.
It is unknown as to what their future may hold but the match against Hull will provide the five players with vital experience.
