Diego Costa’s brother has revealed that the Chelsea hitman has plenty of offers to leave the Premier League champions this summer, report The Sun.
The Sun believe that Costa’s time at Stamford Bridge is coming to an end, following the Spaniard receiving a text message informing him that he is no longer wanted. The tabloid note that Chelsea are closing in on the signing of Everton talisman Romelu Lukaku, who would provide a like-for-like replacement for Costa.
According to The Sun, Atletico Madrid are interested in re-signing Costa, but their transfer ban means that they would not be able to sign him until the January transfer window. The Sun note that AC Milan have also been linked with a move for the 28-year-old.
There may well be other potential suitors in the equation, as The Sun quote Costa’s brother, who reveals a number of clubs have made contact with the combative centre-forward:
“Diego, fortunately, has many offers. I cannot say how many there are, but they exist.”
One way for another, it appears as though Costa’s time as a Chelsea player will soon come to an end.
