Ex-Chelsea midfielder Oscar has opened the door to a stunning return to Stamford Bridge during an interview with PL Brasil.

Oscar signed for Chelsea in the summer of 2012 following our Champions League triumph. After THAT performance against Juventus, during which he bagged a brace and a memorable goal, expectations of the young Brazilian were high.

However, he was never able to reach the level that was expected of him in SW6, and despite being crowned a Premier League champion in 2014/15, it’s difficult to say that his time in West London was a success.

After just ten months in the Chinese Super League with Shanghai SIPG, Oscar has opened the door to returning to England – and notably Antonio Conte’s Chelsea!

Oscar is quoted by PL Brasil as saying:

“Yes, I would go back! I’m still young, I’m 26. Who knows in two, three years to return to the Premier League… I would be very happy. And preferably for Chelsea, who opened the doors for me to return.”

We have moved on from Oscar and he would, quite frankly, not get anywhere near our starting side. It would be a backwards step for the club if he were to rejoin.

Yes I think it would be a mistake to bring him back as he wouldn’t be in the starting 11
