- Tomas Kalas’ representatives provide an update on the player’s future.
- No decision has been made as of now, but talks are set to be held soon.
- Kalas is currently on international duty with the Czech Republic in Austria.
Tomas Kalas’ representatives have told TalkChelsea that talks will soon be held regarding his future at the club.
Kalas spent the previous two seasons on-loan with Fulham in the EFL Championship. The 25-year-old made 76 appearances in all competitions, gaining invaluable experience in one of the world’s most competitive divisions.
He now finds himself at a cross-roads. Fulham gained promotion to the Premier League through the play-offs. Could he follow ‘The Cottagers’ to the English top-flight and book-in a third loan stint, or even a permanent move, to Craven Cottage?
Perhaps, but Kalas’ future at Chelsea is not the priority at the time of writing. The defender is currently away on international duty with the Czech Republic, who did not qualify for the World Cup in Russia this summer.
Kalas’ representatives told TalkChelsea that there is no news regarding his future right now. That will, though, be the topic of conversation when he returns from his time with the Czech Republic in Austria:
“He is with Czech national team in Austria, after that, we will discuss with him the best solution and next step.”
A new managerial appointment would provide Kalas with a clean slate and a chance to impress. He’s not a youngster anymore, however, and the time may have come for him to leave in order to further his career.
