The club’s all-time top goalscorer Frank Lampard has made a prediction that will upset Chelsea fans.
As per the Metro, the Englishman believes Manchester City will win the Premier League title this season.
Pep Guardiola’s side have dropped just two points in England’s top tier scoring 38 goals in the process.
City beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in September courtesy of a goal from another former-Blues midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.
The 39-year-old has now revealed his tip to go all the way this year and get their hands on the Premier League trophy in May.
The Metro quotes Lampard saying:
“Man City, it’s what we’re all saying now but I can’t see them being caught.”
It’s hard to disagree with Super Frank, at least for now
The Blues are by no means out of the title race. We have just as much of a chance as Manchester United and Tottenham.
However, it’s hard to look past City who have been superb this season. Hopefully, the international break has stopped the winning momentum they have.
For Chelsea, we need to build on our three-game winning league streak for the visit against West Brom on Saturday.
