Inter Milan are refusing to accept defeat in their pursuit of Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, according to the Mirror.
Conte took the reins at Stamford Bridge in the summer, and his work over the past ten months has been phenomenal. The Blues are now set to win the Premier League title, and are also in the FA Cup final. It appears as though Conte’s impressive stewardship has not gone unnoticed.
The Mirror report that Inter are keen to appoint Conte as their next manager. The tabloid believe that the Serie A giants will offer him a £10million-a-year deal, and a considerable transfer fund, in an attempt to lure him to the San Siro.
If Inter are looking to return to the summit of Italian football, there are few better managers in the world that they could appoint than Conte. From a Chelsea perspective, hopefully Conte is content in West London and has no reason to depart this summer.
