Antonio Rudiger

Arsenal legend and BT Sport pundit Martin Keown has claimed that Antonio Rudiger is not yet ready to be playing at the top level, report the Metro.

Keown knows the game of football like the back of his hand, having spent 20 years as a player before switching to punditry. However, these recent comments on Rudiger are bizarre, and quite frankly, unfair.

The Metro quote Keown, who suggests that Rudiger is not good enough to be playing for Chelsea:

“He doesn’t look, Rudiger, like he’s at the level required here. He looks very nervy in possession.”

Despite a shaky first few games in Blue, Rudiger has scarcely put a foot wrong in recent weeks. Even against Manchester City, where the team as a collective did not perform, he stood out as one of our better players.

Rudiger has proven at AS Roma and on the international stage that he is good enough to be playing at this level, and he’s only going to get better under the stewardship of Antonio Conte.

What a complete prick Keown, if Baka was an arse player he’d say he was world class.
