Chelsea legend Claude Makelele believes that Alvaro Morata can go on to achieve great things at his new club, as the Daily Star reports.
The Spaniard has adjusted perfectly to English football since his move from Real Madrid to the Blues, scoring seven goals in eight games so far this season. The Daily Star claim that Morata set the Premier League champions back £58M, which is looking to be money well spent.
The Frenchman, who also moved from Real Madrid to Chelsea back in 2003, has praised the striker’s knack of scoring goals when speaking to Sky Sports.
Makelele is quoted by the Daily Star saying:
“This is the top level. He was at the best team in the world at Real Madrid, he scored goals there. He’s gone to Juventus, he scored goals there. Of course he will score goals at Chelsea.”
Morata is currently recovering from a hamstring injury he sustained against Manchester City last Saturday and may be out for several more weeks.
However, with all the praise the 24-year-old is receiving, there’s great belief and optimism our number nine will comeback raring to go again.
