Blue’s boss Antonio Conte has confirmed defender Ola Aina could be the one that finds himself loaned out before the end of the January transfer window.
Nathaniel Chalobah and Ruben Loftus-Cheek will be staying with Chelsea for the remainder of the season despite the latter being linked with Newcastle a month ago.
Chalobah has been the one player out of all the youngsters that when given the chance this season has as performed. His already made eight league appearances for the first-team, while Aina and Loftus-Cheek have only made four between them.
Conte suggested that loaning Aina out would be the best for his development now after the returns of Kurt Zouma from injury and Nathan Ake from a loan. Both these players have more experience of playing in the Premier League.
What Conte Says
“For the rest of the season Ruben and Chalobah will for sure continue to stay with us.
“For Ola, there could be the possibility to go on loan, but there are four days to see the situation.”
Chelsea play Brentford in the FA Cup fourth round this afternoon at Stamford Bridge, its a good chance for some of the youngsters like Aina, Loftus-Cheek and Chalobah to show Conte what they can do if selected.
