John Terry is officially a Chelsea player no more.
As the Daily Mail report, the Premier League have announced each side’s list of released players, and, as expected, Terry is on ours.
Although we all knew that it was coming, but it has really hit home now that it is official that Terry now has no part to play at Chelsea football club – it’s a strange feeling.
He made 717 appearances for the Blues, finding the back of the net 67 times in the process from defence. He remains, to this day, the highest scoring defender in Premier League history in terms of goals from open play.
He won 17 pieces of silverware during his time at Stamford Bridge, including five league titles and the coveted Champions League.
His name is firmly etched into the Chelsea hall of fame, and his legacy will never die, but Terry’s chapter at the club has now been written.
