Chelsea are set to demonstrate their commitment to manager Antonio Conte by funding a £250million spending spree, amid rumours he has clashed with the club’s hierarchy, report the Mirror.
According to the Mirror, Conte has had a falling out with negotiator Marina Granovskaia over her reluctance to meet the inflated price-tags of his transfer targets. The tabloid also believe that he is looking to increase the power he holds in SW6 following winning the Premier League title.
However, despite the disagreement between the club’s two influential figures, the Mirror believe that Chelsea are set to explode into life in the transfer market.
The Mirror report that Chelsea could be set to turn their interest in Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci, who is rated at a whopping £50million, into a concrete proposal. The Mirror note that AS Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, Everton hitman Romelu Lukaku, and Bonucci’s Juventus teammate Alex Sandro are all also targets for the Blues.
