Watford inflicted back-to-back three goal deficit defeats for a dispirited Chelsea side at Vicarage Road.

Antonio Conte’s men went into the match low on confidence after the 3-0 loss to Bournemouth on Wednesday, and there was little change in both performances.

Watford started the match with plenty of energy, forcing errors from the visitors, including Timeoue Bakayoko. The Frenchman received two yellow cards after failing to win the ball back with a challenge on Richarlison.

The midfielder that was signed for £32m has shown little signs he’s worth that transfer sum paid in the summer. Most Chelsea fans will see the positive view to him being unavailable for our next match against West Brom.

Chelsea at least looked to be going in level on the scoreboard until Thibaut Courtois brought down Gerard Deulofeu earning the home side a deserved penalty, which captain Troy Deeney converted.

Despite Chelsea being a man down, the inclusion of Cesc Fabregas saw our opposition on the back foot as we continued to pile on the pressure. Oliver Giroud came on for the injured Pedro just after the 60th minute, finally giving the team a focal point in attack.

Eden Hazard once again stepped up to the plate with a scintillating strike from outside the box and there was still eight of the 90 minutes left of the match.

However, all of the brilliant Belgian’s work had been undone as Watford hit not once, not twice but three more times to give them a flattering victory over the champions.

Daryl Janmaat’s uncontested run into the box and neat finish put us behind as Deulofeu and Roberto Pereyra added more salt into the wounds for Chelsea.

This result puts more tension on the Chelsea hierarchy to make a huge managerial decision at such an important time in the season.

Here after our Chelsea player ratings after the 4-1 defeat against Watford:

Courtois 4, Azpilicueta 5, David Luiz 3, Cahill 3, Zappacosta 4, Bakayoko 0, Kante 4, Moses 4, Willian 5, Hazard 8, Pedro 2. Substitutes: Fabregas 6, Giroud 5,
