Chelsea visit Watford tonight in the Premier League hoping to bounce back from our 3-0 embarrassment at the hands of AFC Bournemouth on Wednesday night.
It was one of the worst performances we have seen from a Chelsea side since Roman Abramovich took the reins at the club in 2003.
The pressure has been mounting on Antonio Conte this week following the game and he’ll be hoping to make a statement to the board and the media with a convincing victory against the Hornets tonight.
With Andreas Christensen ruled out with a hamstring injury, the extent of which is still unknown, David Luiz returns to the centre of defence.
There were suggestions that Callum Hudson-Odoi could be drafted into the starting eleven with Alvaro Morata injured and Olivier Giroud still not ready to feature from the beginning, but he has been named among the substitutes tonight, alongside our new signing.
Emerson Palmieri, who was signed from AS Roma late in the transfer window, also makes the bench tonight. Marcos Alonso misses out, but Davide Zappacosta fills in at left-wing-back.
Hopefully we’ll get some sort of look at our two new additions tonight. Here’s how we lineup in full – what do you think?
Chelsea team: Courtois; Azpilicueta, David Luiz, Cahill (c); Moses, Bakayoko, Kante, Zappacosta; Willian, Hazard, Pedro.
