Next up for Chelsea are Portsmouth, knowing that a win will secure them an historic Double.
Carlo Ancelotti’s Blues have never before completed a league and FA Cup double, and such an achievement would eclipse that of José Mourinho in his début season.
The Premier League Champions are in brilliant form and are massive favourites heading into the tie.
Portsmouth lost their last match of the season in the 92nd minute when Diniyar Bilyatedinov smashed one of the best goals of 2010 past a beleagured Jamie Ashdown.
Chelsea, on the other hand, ripped Wigan to pieces with an 8-0 mauling, and only recently beat the South Coast side 5-0 at Fratton Park.
However the Blues only just managed to beat Avram Grant’s side 2-1 back in December, and a complacent performance in this match could cost Chelsea their sixth FA Cup title.
Pompey have endured a horrific season; deducted nine points and subsequently relegated after going into administration.
The title of underdogs will suit the ex-Chelsea manager’s team to the core; they were written off prior to their heroic semi-final victory over Tottenham in April.
However the form of Didier Drogba, Salomon Kalou and Frank Lampard in particular will give Portsmouth no end of trouble and the Blues will be expected to win.
Chelsea will also wear their new home shirt, featuring the red collar inspired by the Chelsea Pensioners.
The club’s first league and cup double would be certainly an achievement to match the glory of the Blues; 1970 cup final replay win over the mighty Leeds.

Didier Drogba - 4
