Drogba Inspires Blues In Title Chase

Portsmouth 0-5 Chelsea
Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda both scored braces as Chelsea moved to within a point of league leaders Manchester United.

In a game played in abysmal conditions on the south coast, the Blues took a first half lead when Didier Drogba capitalised on a David James error to give Chelsea a crucial lead heading into the interval. Florent Malouda then scored a quick-fire brace before Drogba and Frank Lampard completed the rout to send Chelsea back to second in the table.

Blackburn Youth 0-1 Chelsea Youth

Well this game was certainly a completely different prospect to all of the other games so far in this seasons FA Youth Cup. Once again though this bright team of players managed to dominate the game with neat passing moves on a pretty poor pitch and create some good chances. The difference with this game was that Blackburn were out for a battle. Unusual at youth level to see a team play this way as development of the players is usually the priority but it most certainly was not the case last night.

Internazionale – Opposition Views

So who are you?
My is Ahmad (Skeet from forzainterforums.com)

How long have you supported Inter Milan for?
I have supported inter for around ten year now.

What are you expectations for the remainder of the season?
I think that the remainder of both teams’ seasons will depend largely on the outcome of the Chelsea – inter game, the team that progresses will most likely ride on the momentum of winning such a big game and will definitely have a better chance of taking there respective domestic titles, especially with the contenders in both leagues having a period of good form. I also believe that one of inter or Chelsea will reach the final of the Champions League if they do not encounter barcelona in their remaining games.

Blues Get Ready For Semi

This Wednesday 17th March sees the Chelsea Youth team enter a FA Youth Cup Semi Final for the second time in 3 seasons, hopefully the kind of thing we can keep going through the years now. This years run has really been something special with the boys really growing in confidence and ability with every round that passes and some really excellent stand out performances also from a number of players. Different to the previous rounds of the cup the Semi finals are played over 2 legs, the first leg of this tie being away from home at Ewood park where Blackburn Rovers will hope to have a nice result to take to the bridge. Tickets for this fixture are available at £3 per person and the club are saying that only 3,000 are going to be allowed inside the bridge so of you can get your tickets and get down to the bridge for the return leg.

Malouda Rejuvinates Title Challenge

Chelsea 4-1 West Ham
West Ham’s relegation fears were underlined after a 4-1 demolition by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea were dominant throughout and took a deserved early lead through Alex’s first goal for nearly nine months. Ex-Blues midfielder Scott Parker equalised with a 25-yard belter in front of watching England manager Fabio Capello, but it was Frenchman Florent Malouda who stole the show with a match-winning performance.
