Chelsea look set to capture the much sought after signature of Tiemoué Bakayoko after the Monaco player’s brother seemingly confirmed the move on social media last night, reports the Metro.
It had been feared that Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United would beat the Blues to the signing of the 22-year-old midfield enforcer. However, Bakayoko’s brother, Abdou, appeared to all but confirm the French international’s move to the current Premier League champions last night as he took to Snapchat to hint at where his brother would be moving.
According to the Metro, the Ligue 1 winner will fly into London on Friday where he will undergo a medical ahead of a proposed £40 million move. As per the Metro, the Monaco ace is expected to sign a five-year deal with the London club.
Bakayoko was instrumental in Monaco’s title winning team last season as the energetic midfielder made 32 appearances and scored twice for the French outfit.
Beside his fellow countryman N’Golo Kanté, Antonio Conte must be licking his lips at the prospect of his potential midfield duo for next season.
