Chelsea have increased their offer for Arsenal winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, according to the Daily Star.

The Daily Star claim that Oxlade-Chamberlain has just one year remaining on his contract with the Gunners, and is demanding an watering £120K-a-week in order to sign an extension. The tabloid believe that Antonio Conte is poised to take full advantage of his hesitance to commit his future.

As per the Daily Star, Conte is a huge admirer of Oxlade-Chamberlain, and has highlighted him to the Chelsea board as a player he would like them to sign before the end of the transfer window.

The Daily Star report that Chelsea’s initial £25M bid was matched by Liverpool, and they have now increased it to £35M in hope of landing the England international this summer.

The Daily Star note in their report that Oxlade-Chamberlain would welcome a move to Stamford Bridge, which comes as no surprise – who wouldn’t?
