Arsenal are prepared to swap Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain with Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic, according to Sky.
It could be a move that would be mutually beneficial. Despite the arrival of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach last summer, the Gunners could still do with some added steel to reinforce their flimsy midfield. Not since the days of Patrick Vieira has Arsene Wenger had a player like Matic at his disposal.
From Chelsea’s point of view, we are in dire need of home-grown players for our squad, both in the Premier League and Champions League. Oxlade-Chamberlain ticks that box, and he could also be of great use to Antonio Conte.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has played left-wing, right-wing, centre-midfield and right-wing-back during his time at the Emirates – that sort of versatility could prove to be invaluable.
It remains to be seen whether Chelsea would give the go ahead to any deal, but it may well be worth considering.

The deal is really worth it as I see it as d best bet for CFC. Just for us to now get a prolific striker.
