Chelsea have announced today on twitter that Christian Atsu is joining La Liga side Malaga for the remainder of the season as yet another one of our loan army warriors decides to switch sides in the middle of the season after struggling for play time.

The Ballon d’Or shortlist member (LOL, right!!) has spent the first half of the season in the cold at England, he hasn’t however been able to feel too much of the cold as he hardly spent time on the pitch, with an niggle-y injury keeping him out for an extended period of time.
Atsu will be hoping to improve on his two (that’s right TWO) league cup appearances when he moves to Anadalusia. The Spanish side are having a rather indifferent season and could really use an injection of pace and attacking flair, but whether Atsu can actually add those qualities to the team is a dart to the dart board at this point. We can only wish our kid (well, he’s 24) the best of luck and hopefully we can sell him for a decent profit because that is probably as much as we should dare to hope for out of this right now.
