There appears to be a new name in the running to sign Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez.
According to the Telegraph, Bayern Munich are preparing a £55million offer for the Chilean, whose contract with the Gunners expires at the end of next season.
This will likely come as a concern to Chelsea boss Antonio Conte. The Telegraph believe that Conte is keen to draft in the 24-goal striker in the summer transfer window.
The Telegraph note that Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Juventus are also interested in signing Sanchez, but Bayern are growing increasingly confident that they will come out on top in the race to secure his services.
There is no doubting that Sanchez is one of the best players in the Premier League, but a reported fee of £55million for a player who has just 12 months remaining on his Arsenal deal seems steep. Only time will tell if Conte will match, or better, Bayern’s lucrative offer.
