Birmingham City have made an enquiry to sign Jeremie Boga on a season long-loan, according to Goal. They report that Harry Redknapp has been impressed by the youngster’s abilities and wants to offer him first-team experience this season.
The winger started Chelsea’s season opener at Stamford Bridge against Burnley but was substituted in the 13th minute following a red card to club captain, Gary Cahill. Antonio Conte had to cut short his debut as Andreas Christensen had to make his debut to help the back-line.
As per Goal, Birmingham City believe that Chelsea will not be able to give Boga a run in the first-team once Eden Hazard returns to full fitness. They reportedly also believe that the Premier League champions will be signing a lot of players in the coming days and will be willing to loan him out once their squad numbers are healthy.
Goal reports that Redknapp tried to sign Lewis Baker as well, but the midfielder decided to join Middlesbrough instead.
