Chelsea have reportedly placed Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski top of our transfer shopping list ahead of the summer window.
Now, we post a lot of transfer rumours on this site. They’re continuous, they’re the ones that draw in the hits to the sites belonging to the media outlets. But, as you well know, many of the moves that we’re linked with by the media both at home and abroad never actually materialise.
Outlets such as Don Balon have flooded the internet with falsities. It’s often difficult to filter through the genuine transfer reports. This is one, and surprisingly it’s linking us with a move for one of the best players on the planet.
The reputable Sam Wallace writes for the Telegraph that Chelsea hold a genuine interest in signing Lewandowski. It’s claimed that the Blues are attempting to ‘advance’ a deal to take the Poland international to Stamford Bridge. The deal could cost more than £100M.
This would be one hell of a signing. Regardless of his age, with Lewandowski being 29-years-old, we would be signing one of the best centre-forwards of his generation. Let’s get it done.
