Chelsea are considering making a move to sign AS Monaco right-back Djibril Sidibe, according to the London Evening Standard.
The Premier League champions have already gone shopping in Monaco this summer, having drafted in Tiemoue Bakayoko to reinforce Antonio Conte’s midfield.
The London Evening Standard believe that we could be set to raid the French heavyweights once more to sign Sidibe.
Victor Moses remains our only natural option at right-wing-back, and so that is certainly an area that Antonio Conte could look to add to this summer.
Sidibe enjoyed an excellent campaign in a Monaco shirt, and forced his way into the France national team setup.
At 25-years-old, he is still a few years off of his peak, and he would only continue to grow under Antonio Conte’s stewardship.
There is no potential transfer fee noted in the London Evening Standard’s report, but Monaco have already lost several key players this summer, they will undoubtedly be reluctant to sell.
