Chelsea have sent scouts to watch Uruguayan teen sensation Sebastian Caceres, according to The Sun.
Caceres is currently employed by Liverpool F.C. No, not that one, rather the ‘Negriazules’ who play their football in the Primera División, Uruguay’s top flight. Having broken into the side at the tender age of 18, The Sun believe that he is turning plenty of heads across the Atlantic in Europe.
The Sun report that Chelsea have sent scouts to watch and review Caceres, but they are not alone in the race to secure his signature. The tabloid note that both Liverpool and Barcelona are also interested.
It is reported by The Sun that he holds a Spanish passport and thus would have no problem securing a work permit if Chelsea, or any of the aforementioned clubs, were able to strike a deal with Liverpool F.C to sign him. This is one to keep an eye on for the future.
