Another name has been added to the ever-growing list of Chelsea’s transfer targets today. According to Graeme Bailey of The Gambling Times, champions Chelsea are among the four Premier League clubs to make an enquiry for Julian Draxler.
The Gambling Times note that Liverpool, Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in signing him. It is reported that Draxler could now be free to leave the club this summer following the arrival of Neymar.
Chelsea have a very small squad right now and are in the hunt for new players. With Draxler reportedly up for sale at PSG, the Blues look to have jumped to take advantage of the situation.
Draxler can play as a winger and also a #10 – a kind of player Antonio Conte would love to have in the squad. Right now, it’s only Eden Hazard who is capable of doing the same at Chelsea.
However, the player’s agent has denied all rumours of a possible exit from PSG as per ESPN reports. “Draxler will stay and will not be sold this summer. Paris is building a group with the best players in the world at every post, and Julian is one of them and he wants to continue to be part of it” said his agent, Roger Witterman, to ESPN.
