Chelsea appear to have been offered major encouragement in their reported pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain midfield mastermind Marco Verratti.
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Barcelona have offered a whopping £66M in exchange for Verratti, but that proposal is thought to have been snubbed by PSG.
Tuttomercatoweb believe that unless anyone comes forward with a bid in the region of £88M this summer, Verratti will not be leaving the Parc des Princes. The Italian outlet believe that Barcelona have no intention of paying that sort of figure.
Step forward Chelsea and Manchester United. As per Tuttomercatoweb, both Premier League giants are monitoring the situation and are ready to pounce, with both sides holding a strong interest in signing Verratti.
Antonio Conte knows Verratti very well from his time with the Italy national team. He will have been given the opportunity to see his immense talent in the flesh, and will undoubtedly been impressed with what he saw. If Tuttomercatoweb believe, the pair could be reunited this summer.
