Antonio Conte

Chelsea are plotting two stunning moves for a pair of world-class stars in the January transfer window, according to the Mirror.

Despite a good start to the Premier League season, there can be no denying that our summer business was not good enough. The players that were drafted in were merely replacements for those who departed, and it’d be difficult to say that our squad is significantly stronger, if at all, than it was last season.

As per the Mirror, Chelsea are looking to put right their mistakes with two incredible signings in January. The tabloid claim that Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez and Juventus full-back Alex Sandro are both on the Premier League champions’ January shortlist.

The Mirror believe that the signings could be made to appease Antonio Conte, who the club have no intention of letting leave and returning to Italy. You’d think that signing two players who are among the best in the world in their respective positions would go a long way to doing so.
