The Blues are reportedly interested in bringing Sampdoria and Colombia striker Luis Muriel to Stamford Bridge in the summer, claims Don Balon.
A deal could cost the blues somewhere in the region of £13.5m with Conte knowing Muriel from his days managing Juventus in Serie A.
Muriel started his career back in his home country of Colombia playing for Deportivo Cali before moving to Italy in 2010 signing for Udinese. He also spend time at Lecce and Grenada on loan before making the move to Sampdoria.
During his time at the club he’s gone on to score 12 goals in 51 appearances for La Samp. At international level the Colombian has made 13 appearances, scoring once for his national side since his debut in 2012.
One things for sure if he does arrive in the summer Chelsea fans will hope he has more success than Juan Cuadrado and Radamel Falcao, the only other two Colombians to play for the blues.
