Michy Batshuayi’s short stint as a Chelsea player could be about to come to an end.
According to the Mirror, Roman Abramovich parted with £33million to secure Batshuayi’s services in the summer transfer window – but he has failed to establish himself as an important figure in Antonio Conte’s squad.
The Mirror believe that Chelsea are prepared to let the Belgian international leave Stamford Bridge, less than a year after his arrival. The Mirror note that the Blues would prefer to cash-in on Batshuayi and see him leave on a permanent basis, rather than join our vast loan army.
There will likely be no shortage of interest in the 23-year-old if Chelsea do decide to sell him this summer. The Mirror believe that West Ham are among a number of clubs who would be keen to add Batshuayi to their forward line. We may well see Batshuayi lining up in claret and blue next season.
