Chelsea are not taking no for an answer in their pursuit of Juventus left-back Alex Sandro.
Last week, The Sun reported that the Premier League champions had failed in a £55M bid for the Brazil international, and it remained unclear whether they would be keen to increase that proposal.
However, it appears as though Sky Italia journalist Fabrizio Romano has the answer. Romano reports that Chelsea are set to submit a new bid to Juventus for Sandro, which would presumably be an increase on the £55M The Sun believe we offered last week.
It is a lot of money to pay for any player, especially a left-back, who will not have an impact on the game in the manner that a player like Eden Hazard does. Sandro will, though, fill the spot on Conte’s left-flank for many years to come, and we may well be about to finally find an adequate replacement for Ashley Cole.
