Chelsea academy product Lewis Baker appears to be attracting plenty of interest following a stellar campaign on loan with Eredivisie outfit Vitesse Arnhem.
Baker continuously showcased his keen eye for goal as he made his way up the ranks at Chelsea, and he was able to replicate that during his first taste of top-flight football in the Eredivisie. Baker found the back of the net 15 times in all competitions, with ten of those coming in the league. His good form does not appear to have gone unnoticed.
According to The Sun, Baker is being targeted by several Premier League sides, notably AFC Bournemouth and Swansea City. However, The Sun report that Baker will not be allowed to hold talks over his future until after the U-21 European championship.
The natural next step for Baker, if Antonio Conte doe not believe he is ready for his first-team squad, is a loan spell in the Premier League. Both Bournemouth and Swansea are viable options.
