Chelsea are stepping up their attempts to recruit a new pair of full-backs, according to the Telegraph.

Victor Moses and Marcos Alonso remain our only natural options at left and right-wing-back. Cesar Azpilicueta proved during the Burnley defeat that he does not offer enough going forward to play that role.

To build on our options on the right-hand-side, the Telegraph claim that moves for Paris Saint-Germain’s Serge Aurier and Valencia’s Joao Cancelo are both being considered.

To provide competition for Alonso, it is reported by the Telegraph that Alex Sandro and Danny Rose are on Antonio Conte’s shortlist. However, it is believed that Juventus are standing their ground and preventing Sandro moving to Stamford Bridge, whereas Rose is unlikely to leave Tottenham this month.

The Telegraph report that Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is also a target. He has played at left-wing-back, right-wing-back, central-midfield, right-wing and left-wing during his time with the Gunners. That sort of versatility could be invaluable.

  1. Comment:I’m disappoint big time by all d chelsea board, this is how dey kip making life difficult for coaches nd end up sacking dem
whereas they won’t sign d players requested by d coach, dey end up getting bunch of fringe players

  2. Is it just me, but I feel our goalie is not in the best of form. The first and third goals against Burnely were so disappointing. I strongly feel if our goalie improves a bit we will be just fine. Or try Caberello for a while

  3. Every day i hear this trash…
I wonder how on earth was loftus cheek, ake were shipped out.. I mean those guys are raw talents that will be helpful to this team

  4. Comment:we don’t want to read about that shortlist anymore, we need to hear the news about done deal about the signings to our squard not that blah! blah!,we are tired of it
