Chelsea appear determined not to accept defeat in their pursuit of Napoli centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly.
According to a report from OwnGoalNigeria, Antonio Conte attempted to sign Koulibaly last summer, soon after taking the reins at Stamford Bridge. The Italian appears to be back in the race to secure his signature.
OGN believe that Chelsea will return for Koulibaly in the upcoming transfer window, and may well be prepared to part with one of their loan army in order to finalise a deal.
The Nigerian outlet believe that Chelsea offer Kenneth Omeruo to Napoli as part of a deal to sign Koulibaly. Omeruo has spent the season away on loan with Alanyaspor, and OGN report that Napoli have been impressed with his performances for the Turkish outfit.
Though OGN believe that a deal is far from complete to take Koulibaly to West London, Napoli’s willingness to accept Omeruo as part of a potential deal is certainly promising.
