Chelsea may have to pay up to €70m for Napoli’s Kalidou Koulibaly according to Calciomercato, if the Blues persist to buy him next summer.

The Italian outlet claim Antonio Conte sanctioned the move to seal his services last summer but landed Antonio Rudiger from AS Roma instead, after unsuccessful bids to Napoli.

Koulibaly could be available again in the January transfer window and Chelsea will enquire about him, according to Calciomercato. However, the Premier League champions will have to pay over €60m for his signature, per the report.

Koulibaly is an integral member of Maurizio Sarri’s side who sit top of the Serie A table and have conceded the joint fewest goals, 5, in the Italian top flight alongside Inter Milan and AS Roma.
