Thibaut Courtois could be involved in a goalkeeping merry-go-round this summer including three of Europe’s biggest sides.
After a difficult campaign last time around, Courtois has been in stunning form this campaign – and his good performances do not appear to have gone unnoticed.
According to The Sun, Real Madrid are interested in signing Courtois in the summer transfer window, as a replacement for Keylor Navas. The Sun believe that Chelsea would demand a fee in the region of £60million in exchange for the 24-year-old.
The Sun report that Chelsea could move to sign Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak as a replacement for Courtois, with Diego Simeone’s side drafting in former Liverpool stoppper Pepe Reina.
Only Marseille’s Yohann Pele can better Courtois’ tally of 15 clean sheets in Europe’s top five leagues – it comes as no surprise that Real Madrid are keen to secure his signature. However, there is no need for us to be bullied by any side in the transfer market, and we certainly do not need the money.
